Children’s Ministry

Thank you for your interest in the CityPoint Community Church Kids Ministry! CP Kids currently serves grade levels Kindergarten through 8th grade.

Statement of Purpose
The purpose of this ministry is to provide a safe and spirit-filled environment where children can worship God, be taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and connect with other children.

Day, Time & Location
CP Kids meets weekly on Sundays from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Sessions are held at 2251 South Michigan Avenue, Suite 210. Check-in for CP Kids begins at 9:30 a.m. and closes at 10:30 a.m.

What To Expect
The CP Kids meeting will begin with exciting worship and then transition to the main lesson. Each meeting will wrap up with activity time that also offers the opportunity to fellowship and enjoy snacks.

CP Kids uses the David C. Cook “Echoes” curriculum. This resource has many highlights including the use of African-American imagery and a heritage focus. Students will be split into two groups, K-2nd and 3rd-8th, for the teaching of lessons.

CP Kids has a team of individuals to ensure that procedures run as a smooth operation. Some of these positions include teachers, teaching assistants, greeters, and a worship leader. Staff members can be identified by CP Kids shirts and lanyards.

Check-In/Check-Out Procedures
CP Kids signage will be placed outside of the main entrance to 2251 South Michigan Avenue. A CP Kids greeter will be stationed inside the second door to direct parents and students to the CP Kids Room on the second floor, which can be accessed via elevator or stairs. Upon arrival to Suite 210, parents will stop at the check-in table to fill out the appropriate paperwork (if necessary) and to receive a badge for their children and themselves. To pickup a child(ren), parents will simply show their badge(s) for the child(ren) to be released.

Emergency Situations
At the first point of registration, parents will be required to fill out a form that includes emergency contact information. In the case of emergency, the noted person will be contacted via call and text. The child’s CP Kids number will also be presented on the visual aid in the main Sunday service.
