As we enter the Christmas season, we’re excited to celebrate with our CityPoint Family through a variety of meaningful and festive activities. CityPoint family, we’ve got something special kicking off this season! For three weeks, join us starting Tuesday, December 3rd at 7 PM for our Advent Bible Study with a Pastor! Advent is all about joy, hope, and expectation—and together we’re diving into the story behind the greatest gift God has ever given us: Jesus Christ! In this study, we’re taking a fresh look at Advent through the eyes of Mary, feeling the anticipation, the uncertainty, and the excitement, as she prepared to welcome the Savior of the world. You don’t want to miss this! Mark your calendars, sign up today, invite someone with you, and let’s get ready to step into this season with faith, joy, and anticipation!

 

 

Christmas time is here, and we have a special treat for you. Come join us on Sunday, December 14th for our Bronzeville Candlelight Christmas. We’ll feature soulful music inspired by legendary Bronzeville artists, honoring the rich legacy of our community. Our CP Kids will also share a special performance that will bring extra joy to your heart. And after each service, be sure to step outside and enjoy our winter wonderland festivities! Invite your family, bring your friends, neighbors, and co-workers, and come experience the beauty of the Christmas season with us.

 

We’re keeping the Christmas celebration going with our Ugly Sweater & Cookie Exchange Day on next Sunday, December 21st! Come dressed in your most outrageous Christmas sweater. After each service, join us for our annual Cookie Exchange. Bring your favorite store-bought cookies to share and enjoy community as you sample a variety of treats.

 

Soul Rise Sessions are back!  If you enjoyed the morning calls during the fast, or if you’re simply looking to start your day with your mind and heart focused on Christ, this is for you. Soul Rise Sessions are 30-minute morning prayer calls where we spend a few moments in a quick devotional and then pray together to start the day. It’s a powerful way to grow in your faith and connect with a community pursuing a deeper relationship with the Lord. If you’re seeking more intentional time with God and want to start your mornings centered in Him, we invite you to join us.

We’re circling back to our Brown Bag Food Pantry initiative. We’re still collecting donations to help stock our shelves—but we want to make sure we’re offering quality to those in need. As you bring your items in, please make sure they are new, unopened, and not expired. We had to toss a few donations in April because they weren’t usable, and we want to ensure that what we give is something we’d gladly receive ourselves. If you’d prefer to support financially, you can do that too! Just text the keyword Food Pantry followed by the dollar amount to 312-313-1800. Let’s continue to be a blessing to our community.
