Announcements – October 18th

Karla Davis   -

Have you been baptized or joined the CityPoint Family this year? If so, we want to celebrate your YES! Join us for our next YES DAY on October 25th during the 11am service.  Use this link to let us know if you’ll be participating.  Be sure to invite your family and friends as we celebrate your decision to publicly declare your faith or to join our tribe here at CityPoint.

Get Ready – Our Season of Giving will kick off soon!  This is our time to put care into action. Through food, coats, generosity and Christmas gifts, we can show up for our neighbors in meaningful ways.  More details to follow soon, but mark your calendars for these important upcoming events and in the interim, please consider giving to all outreach events, by texting OUTREACH plus any dollar amount to 312-313-1800 or adding it to your Zelle or online giving.

Don’t miss the great programs happening in October! From Baptism to Modern Day Communion to Worship Night to Yes Day.  Pastor’s even doing a fun sermon series entitled “At the Movies”!  So, mark your calendars and tell a friend! October at CityPoint will be full of moments to continue your journey OF moving One Step Closer to God.

CP Cares is a new serve team created to support our church family during some of life’s most difficult moments.

CP Cares will help serve during funerals, memorial services and repasts—offering practical support, a comforting presence and the kind of love that reminds people they are not alone. Our next opportunity to serve will be the Barden-Craig Family Memorial on Friday, July 31.

If you have a heart for caring for others and would like to be part of this important ministry, click here to join the CP Cares team and sign up to serve.

Looking for a group of men to walk with you through the real issues of life? Our Men’s Bible Discussion meets twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays, creating space for honest conversation around topics that matter most to men. This is a safe, supportive environment to grow in faith, learn together, and build meaningful relationships. If you’re looking for connection, accountability, and spiritual growth, sign up today and be part of a dynamic men’s community.

We’re circling back to our Brown Bag Food Pantry initiative. We’re still collecting donations to help stock our shelves—but we want to make sure we’re offering quality to those in need. As you bring your items in, please make sure they are new, unopened, and not expired. We had to toss a few donations in April because they weren’t usable, and we want to ensure that what we give is something we’d gladly receive ourselves. If you’d prefer to support financially, you can do that too! Just text the keyword Food Pantry followed by the dollar amount to 312-313-1800. Let’s continue to be a blessing to our community.
