Announcements – June 29th
This July, we are entering what we’re calling Selah Month, a Sabbath month where we intentionally pause, reflect, and realign our hearts with God. The word “Selah” appears throughout the Psalms and is believed to mean “pause and reflect.” Inspired by this, we’re taking the month of July to slow down, rest, and spend intentional time with God – both individually and as a church.
We will still gather each Sunday for worship services, but we are resting from all other church activities during this month. This space is meant to allow our teams, leaders, and families to recharge and experience renewal.
Each day of the month, we’ve provided a daily scripture devotional focused on rest, renewal, and intimacy with the Lord. Our hope is that this time allows each of us to recharge spiritually, emotionally, and physically as we create space for God to speak, and prepare ourselves for the remainder of the year.
Calling all men! You’re invited to join us for our bi-weekly Men’s Bible Discussion. We meet every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, and each time we gather, we dive into powerful and relevant discussions on topics that matter to our walk as Christian men. It’s a great opportunity to grow together in faith, encouragement, and brotherhood. Sign up today, mark your calendar, bring another brother or two with you, and we’ll see you in our next session.
We are hosting the next Bible Plan and Book Club, reading the book, Leading Well: A Black Woman’s Guide to Wholistic Barrier-Breaking Leadership by Jeanne Porter King.
If you long to lead from a strong spiritual core rather than a set of expectations you had no part in setting, meet us Wednesday, July 30th, at 7PM for a great discussion. This book and Bible Plan offers you the inspiration, encouragement, and practical tools to make leading well a reality in your life. Sign up today!
