Announcements – November 30th

As we enter the Christmas season, we’re excited to celebrate with our CityPoint Family through a variety of meaningful and festive activities. There’s no better way to embrace the joy, hope, and togetherness of this season than by spending it with one another. Mark your calendar and join us for our upcoming events this December. Let’s make this Christmas one to truly remember!
CityPoint family, we’ve got something special kicking off this season! For three weeks, join us starting Tuesday, December 3rd at 7 PM for our Advent Bible Study with a Pastor! Advent is all about joy, hope, and expectation—and together we’re diving into the story behind the greatest gift God has ever given us: Jesus Christ! In this study, we’re taking a fresh look at Advent through the eyes of Mary, feeling the anticipation, the uncertainty, and the excitement, as she prepared to welcome the Savior of the world. You don’t want to miss this! Mark your calendars, sign up today, invite someone with you, and let’s get ready to step into this season with faith, joy, and anticipation!
Are you someone who has joined Citypoint or have gotten baptized in 2025? We want to celebrate your “Yes”. On Sunday, December 7th, invite your family and friends as we get together for a time of celebrating your decision to publicly declare your faith and/or to join our tribe here at CityPoint. After our 11AM service we will have food, an opportunity to meet some of the church leaders, as well as fellowship with others who’ve made the same decision as you this year. Sign up today to let us know you’re coming.
Singles, it’s time to mix, mingle, and kick off the holiday season together! Join us on Sunday, December 7th at 1:30 PM at Daley Plaza as we head to the ChristKindle Market for an afternoon filled with festive food, fun, and great company. We’ll be enjoying all the Christmas vibes until 4 PM, so come ready to laugh, explore, and make some merry memories! Want to join the fun? Sign up today! Don’t miss this chance to connect and celebrate the season together. It’s going to be a great time!
As the holiday season is upon us, we realize that it can be a hard time for some people. Our Pastoral Care Team is hosting Reflections in Indigo: A Guided Meditation for Those Navigating Grief and Loss. If you’ve been carrying something heavy, this might be exactly what you need. This is a gentle, welcoming experience—no pressure to talk, no expectation to share. Just a calming space where you can breathe, rest, and feel supported. Through guided meditation and quiet reflection, you’ll have a chance to experience a moment of peace in the midst of whatever you’re carrying. Whether your loss is recent or something you’ve tucked away for years, this space is for you. If you’ve been longing for a place to pause, process, or simply not feel alone, we invite you to come. You may be surprised by how healing this time can be. Sign up today.
We’re excited to share that our annual Giving Hope Toy Giveaway will take place on Saturday, December 13th! This is a wonderful opportunity for our church family to bless children in our community with the joy of Christmas. We will be accepting toy donations through Sunday, December 7th. Your generosity makes a real difference, and every gift helps bring hope to a child this season. To make giving even easier, simply click here to view our Amazon Gift List, organized by age group. Thank you for partnering with us as we continue to share God’s love in a practical and meaningful way!

Christmas time is here, and we have a special treat for you. Come join us on Sunday, December 14th for our Bronzeville Candlelight Christmas. We’ll feature soulful music inspired by legendary Bronzeville artists, honoring the rich legacy of our community. Our CP Kids will also share a special performance that will bring extra joy to your heart. And after each service, be sure to step outside and enjoy our winter wonderland festivities! Invite your family, bring your friends, neighbors, and co-workers, and come experience the beauty of the Christmas season with us.

Want to help families in need? Now’s your chance to make a difference! While SNAP benefits remain uncertain, we’re providing groceries each week to 20 families—and we need your support. Sign up to help by providing groceries for these families. Grocery drop-off will take place on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, and family pick-up will be on Sundays at 10:15 AM and 12:15 PM.
Soul Rise Sessions are back! If you enjoyed the morning calls during the fast, or if you’re simply looking to start your day with your mind and heart focused on Christ, this is for you. Soul Rise Sessions are 30-minute morning prayer calls where we spend a few moments in a quick devotional and then pray together to start the day. It’s a powerful way to grow in your faith and connect with a community pursuing a deeper relationship with the Lord. If you’re seeking more intentional time with God and want to start your mornings centered in Him, we invite you to join us.
