Announcements – October 4th

Timbra Dye   -

Soul Rise Sessions are back!  In these 30-minute power-packed morning prayer calls, we spend a few moments in a quick devotional and then pray together to start the day. It’s an amazing way to grow in your faith and connect with a community pursuing a deeper relationship with the Lord.

If you’re seeking more intentional time with God and want to start your mornings centered in Him, we invite you to join us on Tuesdays and Fridays at 6AM. Use the QR Code above to sign up!

Finally – Save the date for CP Homecoming – The Worship Gathering! Thursday, October 15th at 7pm. Come out for an evening of music, worship and community! Inspired by the sermon series and overall Homecoming culture, we’ll celebrate education, school pride, Greek life and God’s goodness in all of it! We’ll have special performances by our CPKids crew and award winning artist, Corey Barksdale. You won’t want to miss this!

Don’t miss the great programs happening in October! From Baptism to Modern Day Communion to Worship Night to Yes Day.  Pastor’s even doing a fun sermon series entitled “At the Movies”!  So, mark your calendars and tell a friend! October at CityPoint will be full of moments to continue your journey OF moving One Step Closer to God.

CP Cares is a new serve team created to support our church family during some of life’s most difficult moments.

CP Cares will help serve during funerals, memorial services and repasts—offering practical support, a comforting presence and the kind of love that reminds people they are not alone. Our next opportunity to serve will be the Barden-Craig Family Memorial on Friday, July 31.

If you have a heart for caring for others and would like to be part of this important ministry, click here to join the CP Cares team and sign up to serve.

Looking for a group of men to walk with you through the real issues of life? Our Men’s Bible Discussion meets twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays, creating space for honest conversation around topics that matter most to men. This is a safe, supportive environment to grow in faith, learn together, and build meaningful relationships. If you’re looking for connection, accountability, and spiritual growth, sign up today and be part of a dynamic men’s community.

We’re circling back to our Brown Bag Food Pantry initiative. We’re still collecting donations to help stock our shelves—but we want to make sure we’re offering quality to those in need. As you bring your items in, please make sure they are new, unopened, and not expired. We had to toss a few donations in April because they weren’t usable, and we want to ensure that what we give is something we’d gladly receive ourselves. If you’d prefer to support financially, you can do that too! Just text the keyword Food Pantry followed by the dollar amount to 312-313-1800. Let’s continue to be a blessing to our community.
