Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 6th. We are co-hosting a new music festival celebrating the past, present and future of Bronzeville called Black & Bronze: A Bronzeville Music Fest. Join us from 1-7pm at Armstrong Park 4433 S St. Lawrence Ave for:
- Live music tributes to Chicago legends in Soul, Gospel, Hip Hop & Jazz
- Dance Performances: Alvin Ailey Tribute, Footwork dance battle and workshop, Steppers sets, Majorette and Drumline, Divine 9 Strolling
- Spoken Word poetry about the history of Bronzeville & Black Chicago
- Basketball Tournament and Dunk Contest
- Yoga, Double Dutch, and Dance Workshops
- Kids Zone & Youth Programming
- Free lineups for kids under 14 for the first hour
- Free Community Garden Produce while supplies last
- DJ sets, vendors, food trucks and more!
